A Message from Marie’s Nutcracker Sweet

Most carriers have been experiencing delays and difficulties meeting their normal timelines for package deliveries.

Marie's Nutcracker Sweet, Inc. is NOT responsible for these delays.Once your order leaves our facility communications regarding it's location should be directed to the carrier.  Thank You!

As a small, family owned business with a patriarch who is immune compromised as the result of a kidney transplant, we have always been sensitive to reducing the spread of germs. We will continue to follow CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines for proper hand washing and sanitation of our work space. Our limited staff is family and we will continue to monitor them for any signs of illness before allowing them to work. Our facility has little to no foot traffic and the nature of our retail business has always been mail order or pick up by appointment only.
We will continue to ship orders as usual. For anyone in our local area who would like to order rolls, we can make special accommodations based on your circumstances. You may choose to pick up at our Windber location and if you like, we will bring your order to your car. We are also offering limited delivery times and locations the week before Christmas. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns and thank you for your continued support of our small business.

Holiday Ordering

We are often asked "What is the cut off date for placing an order for the holidays?" The best way we have to answer that is we do not have a cut off date per se. We will continue to take orders until our baking capacity is reached.

Capacity (C) for any given period of time is based on the number of days in the period (dp) times the number of rolls per day (rpd) we are able to bake: C = dp x rpd. Once our capacity is reached we will post a notice on the website indicating the anticipated shipping lead time for orders placed on or after that day is longer than average.

Based on past years experiences and the current trend in order activity it would not hurt to order in late September or early October for November and/or December shipment or pick up. During the check out process there is a pop up calendar that will show all available shipping dates.

When ordering online your credit card will be charged at the time you place the order--not when shipped. If ordering by telephone, let us know when you call what date you would like your order to ship. With telephone orders your credit card will not be charged until your order is prepared to ship.

We hope this helps you to determine when to place your holiday orders in order to be shipped in time for the holidays.
