As a small, family owned business with a patriarch who is immune compromised as the result of a kidney transplant, we have always been sensitive to reducing the spread of germs. We will continue to follow CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines for proper hand washing and sanitation of our work space. Our limited staff is family and we will continue to monitor them for any signs of illness before allowing them to work. Our facility has little to no foot traffic and the nature of our retail business has always been mail order or pick up by appointment only.
We will continue to ship orders as usual. For anyone in our local area who would like to order rolls, we can make special accommodations based on your circumstances. You may choose to pick up at our Windber location and if you like, we will bring your order to your car. We are also offering limited delivery times and locations the week before Christmas. Ship Methods

When sending rolls as a gift, you should let the recipient know a perishable package is on its way so they may know when to expect arrival and to use or freeze them within five (5) days of receipt.

You may choose to have your order shipped by any of the following methods:

    • Flat Rate Priority Mail
    • Express Mail - Overnight
  • FedEx (Federal Express)
    • FedEx Ground Home Delivery
    • FedEx Express Saver
    • FedEx 2 Day
    • Standard Overnight
    • Priority Overnight
    • First Overnight
  • Local Pick-Up - Available in Johnstown and Windber, PA only
  • Limited Local Delivery - Available in certain 159** zip codes on designated days.

We consider USPS priority mail service the best method for shipping your order if you are located on the west coast or any location outside the 2 to 3 day  FedEx areas. The United States Postal Service (USPS) indicates your package will arrive in 2 to 3 days from shipment regardless of your location. Additionally, since the mail moves seven days a week, we are able to ship your order usually within 48 hours of receipt six days a week. This means if you choose USPS as your shipping method, orders placed as late as Thursday and sometimes Friday will ship on Saturday except during peak holiday periods.

As the national map below shows, there are large regions of the country that shipments from our location would take up to five days (longer if over the weekend) to arrive by FedEx Ground Home, so please choose your shipping method carefully.

Since we have received a new rate schedule from FedEx closely compare the cost of shipping next day air FedEx with that of USPS Express mail. Also, the purple area in the map below represents the 1 day shipping time from our location when shipped by FedEx Ground.

Charges:

All shipping charges are calculated based on the average weight of the products ordered (rounded up to the closest whole weight in pounds) and the distance traveled from the point of origin as determined by the carrier chosen. Prices are subject to change without notice. USPS has added a surcharge to packages shipped between October and December 2020.

In addition to the carrier charges, the shipping charge shown on your order receipt includes a $2.00 handling charge per order.

If you find it necessary to return product to Marie's Nutcracker Sweet, Inc. for any reason, please contact us to arrange an RGA - Return Goods Authorization.
